Attitudes and Behaviour

The Golden Rules philosophy

We are very proud of the way the children of New Pastures Primary School behave. Pupils' behaviour is outstanding, they are exceptionally friendly and polite. They take a great pride in their school and take very good care of one another. Pupils say that they feel very safe'. We have built this very good foundation by following The Golden Rules philosophy.

There are six Golden Rules that the whole school adheres to. These rules are displayed around the school. We have special assemblies to embed the rules and circle times and stories are used to reinforce them. All staff and children are encouraged to adhere to these rules and children who keep the rules receive certificates and have a special mention in our celebration assemblies. We believe these rules will help us to live and work together in harmony in our school. They are also a very good code of conduct for life and will form an excellent basis as the children grow and develop into good citizens.

Breakfast Club

Good Mornings

We have had a very good response to our Breakfast club.

The breakfast club is available to children from our school. It begins at 8am and costs £1 per day and children have a choice of cereals or toast with jam, beans or spaghetti and a drink. Children stay in the hall, to read or play games after their breakfast and are taken to class by our staff ready for the start of the school day.

After School Clubs and

Lunch Time Activities

We are able to offer a variety of after school clubs and lunch time activities for pupils.

Throughout the year your child will have the opportunity to take part in clubs and activities such as:

  • Multi sports

  • Football

  • First Aid

  • Art

  • Gardening

  • Dance

  • Recorders and much, much more....
